Not able to transfer files

hi all

i am not able to transfer folders from/to PC and E6 mobile. the problems are two fold

1. if i connect the phone as storage device, i am not able to view the .system folder (even if i have view hidden files in explorer enabled). so i am not able to copy and paste the new .system file to install mpkg

2. if i use the Motorola phone tools, i am able to view the .system folder. however, i am not able to swap the folders. another wrinkle is i am not able to swap the full folders alone. if i go into a folder, i am able to transfer the files..

anyone can help me identifying where i am going wrong?

Whats your firmware?
Some firmwares disable .system folder viewing.If that is the case you must flash out of your firmware.

As for the second problem , i think it is an internal error.Keep your pc clean, reinstall MPT and try again!

sorry for being clueless..... but how do i find out what is the firmware?

anyhow i managed to copy the .system folder and have installed mpkg. (i did this by connecting my phone to a linux machine. the '.system' folder was visible under linux)

however am having different problems. shall open a different thread.
