Hi,
I am facing the same issue once again after 6 months or so. I have tried to reinstall/mod the Alpha EDGE script but that hasn't helped.
Is there any solution one can provide apart from flashing? If flashing, is the only solution; can someone let me know the best firmwares which could be used? I have heard about "Ahman Hybrid".
Thanks,

Flashing is the most straight forward solution.
As for firmwares , here is a collection with details:

Hi Motomaster,
Thanks for the reply.
Considering my firmware version is 08P, do you recommend any particular firmware for me ?
My requirements are :
* Good camera picture quality
* EDGE enabled {as I want a fast internet connection}
* USB NET {I don't know exactly what this is but isn't it running internet on USB mode }
* Faster navigation between menu items
* Increase in sound volume for media player
I have a generic 08P firmware on my cell phone, I've never flashed it before. Can I use any of the firmwares listed on the link you gave OR can I use only the ones based on 08P firmware? Also, I have gone through the sticky on the forum for "flashing beginners"; is there anything else in particular I should take care of ?
Thanks,

.08p is a very stable firmware but you demand for edge will force you to adopt a .22p firmware rather than following the Alpha43's script method.I would suggest that you first flash to a .22p enabled firmware with Edge pre-enabled.As you get the hang of it , you can flash to other firmwares w/o edge and enable them through the script.
Hence seeing your demands , I would suggest first you read this post:

This post clears some confusion regarding driver installation prompt.
As for firmware selection I recommend:

As for camera , it has fine enough camera and .22p is known to be fast!

Hi,
I finally drilled down the issue. I had to flash my phone with R535H10_22P_R533_09P_WM98XS_SecurePhone_Workingman_hiSpeed_VR firmware as I couldn't download others due to restrictions at my workplace. However, the problem persisted. I uninstalled the driver and installed a fresh and updated one. So it clearly seems to be a driver issue.
However, I have one more question. I had backed up my data using backup and restore. The .brn files are created on my memory card and have 4MB in size. But I am unable to restore the data. The restore process gets completed but I am unable to view my data. Any help in this regard would be great.
