Probably the app will not work as I edited the lin file using wordpad.
I can provide the correct one only when I'm back at home.
Till then if someone can save it using UNIX type editor(like crimson) and test the app.
Sorry for the trouble.
@thak downloading... ill test it as soon as i finished installing...ill post my findings later...

Tested it (saved the file in unix format), copies the files to the MyPrograms directory, but that seems about it.
Edit, I've got it running very well to my liking but can't get it to "refresh" and so FingerPad not working yet.
OK, I've tried refreshing before the mount command and after the mount - still nothing! Anyone?

Casper, check this one.
It worked for me.
Ran thru myprograms folder.
Was able to connect as MassStorage.
But, think there's some problem with OFF thing.
Strange, it does not load on my phone this way, even with above .lin file. I've tried 'enhancing' the app a little, will post it here when i can, but I kinda want to at least get the app started, and then we can worry about the off function.

Try starting thru eKonsole. From that we can come to know as why it is not starting.
How do you mean, through the script file? Coz it's starts then, are you looking for the message it says before it exits?
/mmc/mmca1/AppStartup_Mods/fpstartup.txt i>>?!# /bin/bash: not found
it says this (above) with my script but works.

The new version of Fingerpad is available now.
Probably this might solve our problem.
Check the main post for new files, here
can you show us the way on how to copy the directory to ezxlocal?
EDIT: Finally made it worked. Here's how.
1. Copy fpad directory in your MMC root folder.
2. Run eKonsole. Type the following commands.
3. cd / (Press Enter)
4. mkdir /ezxlocal/fpad/ (Press Enter)
5. cp -r /mmc/mmca1/fpad/* /ezxlocal/fpad/ (Press Enter)

The new version of Fingerpad resolves our problem.
Still do we need the app to turn on/off the fingerpad.
This new version is free of bugs from earlier version, and is easily adaptable for language changes.
