do master clear - master reset
nothing happen re-flash with generic firmware like .08p else take it to Motorola support center

which file you edit because some files you have to edit them then compile the firmware and flash your phone with it
so give me the file name and the line you change and i'll test it for you if you want

dude i just edited the discoverperiod to 5 from 3....then i rebooted the phone.....i turned the bluetooth on! then put it to discoverable....even then the phone is discoverable only for three minutes
