    Thumbs up Upgradate .system

    Background :To Use new utility from others .system folder without replacing original

    Need not to replace ur original .system folder ... if done so it will loss ur all installed applications pkg / Java both which are installed in mmc i.e. memory card
    I am writing down a new guide for Manual installation from other's .system or
    can be termed as up gradation of .system

    Warning: Please take a backup of your original. System file
    I have tried this with Motorokr E6 and it is working for me
    EULA: USE IT WITH YOUR OWN RISK. I DO NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE FROM USING IT.

    Step: 1 (Connection)
    Connect phone in Mass Storage mode to the computer
    Step: 2 (Installation)

    Open Newly downloaded .system file and copy all the new application from /.system/QTDownLoad/ Folder which u want to install [only ezx application]
    For e.g. myTestApp
    Now Navigate to /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/ in ur Memory Stick and Paste there

    Note: Please do not paste Java application here

    Step:3 (Registration)

    Open CardRegistry [/.system/java/CardRegistry] from Newly downloaded .system file and Search for application name e.g. MyTestApp
    Select Setting from [] brackets up to visible=1 key
    Code:

    [189230471098340720498243074019823]
    Anything
    Apppath = /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/MyTestApp.pkg
    Anything
    Visible = 1

    Copy and paste settings in: /mmc/mmca1/.system/java/CardRegistry

    Note: I use Notepad++ to open CardRegistry file
    it can be anything [189230471098340720498243074019823] do not search for the same string

    That’s All DONE
    Now disconnect ur phone from computer Need not to restart

    Nice post. Appreciate the time you've taken to write your guide, but I'm afraid that its already been covered earlier. A search would have saved you some time in writing this article.

    well, those are inside the .system folder, which is a hidden folder. So it wont be visible under the standard windows explorer or my computer, unless you have the option of displaying hidden files.

    hope that helps.

    thanks xeta,

    but that the .system folder was visible, i had to replace .system folder after flashing my fone first in order to use all mod packages.

    It is all fine now.. i put a .22p konig mod with all possible apps....

    thanks again
