HELP: Rokr E6 MMS/Browser(Internet problem) Im from the Philippines

hi, i tried to send MMS to my friend and can't seem to send it...Also, I can't recieve MMS too. Im a globe subscriber anyone frome the Phil... knows the setting for rokr e6. I tried calling Globe but they don't have the setting for MMS...

You can try this one, it's on our v3x site but the settings are basically the same...

Globe

GPRS:
Name: myGlobe CONNECT
Homepage: http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp
Service Type 1: HTTP
Gateway IP 1: 203.177.042.214
Port 1: 8080 or 9201
GPRS APN: www.globe.com.ph

MMS:
Name: myGlobe MMS

GPRS APN: mms.globe.com.ph

Multimedia Message Set-up:
Service Name: MyGlobe MMS
Server Name: http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc
Web Session Name: Choose the websesion where you put in the Globe MMS settings...

I'm not sure if wap will work, as Globe has changed it's settings and I'm still looking for the proper one, but MMS should work...

And by the way, you'll need to activate MMS/GRPS first before you cna send MMS... You can call Globe to activate your MMS so that you can send MMS... They'll ask you to send an MMS to yourself first and see if it went through... Hope this helps!

well, same here. I'm a globe subscriber and in Manila.

eventually, E6 will be able to do so... I encountered the same way back then... I bought the ROKR and ROKR E2 on the first week of its release in 2005 and 2006, and Globe wasn't even aware of it! so I just kept on calling the operator to ask if ROKR E1 and E2 GPRS settings are already available... I think you'll have to keep on calling for about a month for them to be able to produce such settings... after all, thos ephone conv. with the operator are being screened... ciao.

Isn't it quite confusing, when you can't send MMS, while your opera browser can surf the net as fast as the DSL???

Bakit, hindi pa din ba kayo maka-send gamit yung settings sa taas?

I'm on smart now and I'm not having problems with my MMS... I'm using the websession on my site for Smart and it's working...

thanks for that detailed settings! di ko napansin na may sagot ka na. asar tlga globe they don't even know E6 exists!!! just like what they told me nung kakabili ko pa lng ng ROKR and ROKR E2!!!!

No problem Ü, hope you guys can send MMS now! Kaya nga ako lumipat sa Smart, kasi sobrang hirap sa globe, pating web browsing mahal... On Smart it's only 10php per min...


*Added: I noticed the Gateway IP on MyGlobe MMS was incorrect, I already edited it, please try it guys...

Acutally, baka lumipat na ako sa p990i by the end of the year... May 3g kasi siya and wi-fi to boot! Ü Anyways, I'll keep tabs on this forum as I'll just be giving this to my wifey... Hope the settings work!

hey! thanks for those instructions, I can now go TRIGGER HAPPY with my MMS!... I've heard that smart is now charging internet by minutes, unlike in globe??? pero may promo ngayon ang globe i think PhP 0.375 / kb na lang
(50%) off. but still dunno which is better? My oficemate says smart charges P10.00 per 30 mins.! I thought t'was 3g related charges but it was just plainly for internet browsing (GPRS).

I bought this E6 phone last month... I got into panic buying because I only found 2 units left in SM San Lazaro, 3 units in SM North Edsa and 2 units in SM Megamall. Some other Cellphone shops also say they won't be ordering any E6 anymore. Is it bec. the unit is already phased out? or is it just the units are running out fo stock fast?

Whoa, whoa! I'll Try to answer them one by one. Ü

1.) Smart Internet is now also available on GPRS/Edge phones, as long as you use the "internet" profile of smart... If you use "GPRS" profile, then you be charged per KB. Even if globe charges half for web browsing, Smart still beats it as I can download bigger files in 30 mins with less cost.

2.) Afaik, E6 is still sold here, you can go to G3 in makati and they even come with those s9 headsets... I don't think they'll phase it out real soon as they have just released it recently...
