just a side comment to Lhon0901, p990i is no longer available anywhere, well, that is, if ur looking for the one with SE warranty (which btw is as important as the p990 itself becoz of its inclination to crash). i know becoz that was the one i originally planned to buy just recntly, the last week of october. becoz of the unavailability, and the high price of p1, i just bot e6 instead. and im loving it, xept for the fact it is really really hard to text with its itsy bitsy keyboard. so for now, ill keep it, until i can afford the p1 or maybe ill wait for the w960i.

btw, im a little confused here. kasi when i got my phone, i checked out the settings para idownload ko na sana and nakita ko na may settings na xa.... un lang po. and im a globe subscriber too pala.

Sorry for the late reply, just got from my RD... Anyways, meron pa sa Megamall ng p990i unit with warranty... So, buy ako nun next week...

Regarding the E6 settings embedded on the phone itself, look at the settings there and some parts are missing... I know 'cause I also got the settings, checked it and found it lacking... Also, check the multimedia set-up message, the mmsc server of globe/smart is not there so you'll need to put it manually...

That goes also with the data accounts...

Additionally, if you guys need the kepad replaced, you can have it replaced on memoexpress at Glorietta 3 for only php300... They replace the keypad for free, you just need to pay for the keypad...

thanks for the info. loved my E6 more today than yesterday!

its just that I was hoping we could find some leather case for our dear phone, like the leather case used for PDAs... (truth is, I dont have time to check on it on malls!)... baka may alam kayo?

btw, I refrained from modding my E6 recently. I discovered that my usb cable is not working proporly - it needs twixing before the PC recognizes my phone, thus, accidentally, the Mem Cad got corrupted... good thing I backed up my .system folder!

if smart or globe doesn't have the GPRS setting for ur phone, then try calling motorola they have the original/stock GPRS setting for our e6.

and btw what FirmWare are u guys using?

when i bought my e6, comes with it is the .02P FW, according to motocenter it's the fw meant for phil, thus it contains already the gprs setting for almost all network avail here in pinas. so you guys shouldn't have a problem accessing the net using ur phone.

but if u did change ur fw (I did mine, to a generic .08P) then i suggest you use the settings Lhon has posted.

Wakocoke! The settings for .02p (ZT version) has very MANY flaws in it... Had to reconfigure the data accounts, as well as multimedia settings when I bought the phone... So I suggest you still check the settings if you encounter any difficulties with GPRS/MMS...

Yup, I changed my f/w to .09p... I modded it to include the Smart/Globe Data accounts even if I do a master reset/clear... Also changed the start-up/shutdown animations...

good for u tol, but b4 i flashed mine to .08P, the stock fw (.02P) functioned just fine. i can send MMS already and all i did was register/activate the mms service (im using SUN). so Smart or Globe subs shouldn't have a problem with it.

And bout the GPRS - if u still cant connect, then i suggest u get urself a 3rd party web browser app i recommend the OperaMini (the final version) juz make hanap of it here and install. yun

Yup! I'm not having probs anymore after I manually configured the phone...
