INFO: easy way - change shortcut 1 & 2 and carrier key

unlock the shortcut 1 & 2 and carrier key
first, you needs to install my_stuff.pkg and my_notes.pkg using MPKG, both written by yan0.

change shortcut 1 & 2 :
1) tap on my_stuff icon > ezx_user > download > appwrite > setup > ezx_idle.cfg (tap on / open with my_notes icon).
2) then slowly scroll down to look for:
" shortcut_1_freeze = 1 "
" shortcut_2_freeze = 1 "
3) then replace shortcut 1 & 2 of the value " freeze = 1 to freeze = 0 "
4) save and exit.
5) remember do not change others value.
6) now, tap on setup icon > home screen setup > try whether you can change shortcut 1 & 2 as you wish.

change carrier key :
1) first tap on setup icon > customized key > pick a icon you wish to be new carrier key > save and exit.
2) tap on my_stuff icon > ezx_user > download > appwrite > setup > ezx_hardkey.cfg (tap on / open with my_notes icon).
3) then replace all 32 digit numbers of customized key to carrier key.
4) save and exit.
5) remember replace exact all 32 digit numbers.
6) now, your carrier key should be changed as you wish.
7) if the answer, yes .... then you can now change other icon for customized key.
8) if i'm wrong, pls correct me.

there is an app (CKC) that does the carrier key change. It's good to see that members are looking for hacks and such but yeah.

Hey guys! i tried this before and followed the guides (same as above) but it didnt work for me, can i use telnet and edit the ezx_idle.cfg from there?

Just wana make sure that its safe to edit files directly from the inter mem of my phone. Thanx n advance

Hello Helldran!

Sure, you can use eKonsole to edit ezx_idle.cfg... Although a much easier way is to install mystuff, navigate to the ezxlocal folder, and the open the .cfg file on the built-in notepad... In that way you don't have to copy the ezx_idle.cfg file to the SD card and copy it back to the ezxlocal folder...
