Code:First thing you want to do is setup your GPRS settings, from there you will also need to point your browser to use this setup as it's connection. Because even if you have the right settings, the Browser will still use whatever default setting the Ming came with. So there may be a few differences because My mine might be running older Firmware then yours is, since yours is new. Mine runs on 44P but other than some different order of information, most everything else the same with the newer models. Open you phone and select your applications button (top left) within this make sure you have "all" applications showing and select the "Setup" application. Within this application there will be all the settings for your phone, one selection about mid way down the list is "Data Network" Select this to set up your internet profile for Cellular One. on the bottom left of the screen select the options menu and select "New" this is where I think some of the changes between firmware may come in, but you should be able to hack through it since I believe it's purely cosmetic. Profile Name: (make whatever you want, I use Cellular1Wap) GPRS setting: APN: cellular1wap User name:______________(leave blank) Password:_______________(leave blank) Timeout: 15 minutes. Primary gateway IP: 172.23.1.252 Port: 9201 Secondary gateway IP: 172.23.1.252 Port: 9201 DNS server (leave unchecked) (1)________________(leave blank) (2)________________(leave blank) CSD setting: Dial in number:_______________(Leave blank) Query at LogonLeave unchecked) User name:________________(leave blank) Password:_________________(leave blank) Baud rate: Auto Line Type: Modem Timeout: Off DNS server (leave unchecked) (1)_____________(leave blank) (2)_____________(leave blank) Now don't forget to his save, and remember your internet profile name you assigned on the first step, as you will need to point your programs that use the internet to this profile. Next lets get your browser setup, again mine started off being pointed to some pre-installed internet profile. on your main screen when you start the phone select the little globe with the WWW on it, to start your web browser. You may have to wait for the browser to not connect if you haven't set this up before, once you wait, and you get the error message hit cancel or ok or whatever lets you close it. Then select the bottom left menu button. from the drop up menu select "setup" and then "Profiles" There may or may not be some options here but again we will be creating a new profile for your browser. Again select the bottom left menu button and select "new" You will then be brought to the creation screen. Which should look like this: Profile Name: (name it what you want, again I call mine Cellular1) Homepage: http://172.23.1.135:8080/cellularone.wml Network Link (drop down menu, select the original internet profile we created during our first step) Again don't forget to hit save. Now if any of this is not like your current Ming Software, it will be some hybrid of this setup, remember you have to have your internet (GPRS) profile created and each program you run on the ming that uses the internet, needs to be pointed to this profile, and by digging around in the settings of the program you should be able to hack your way through. Also please note, I HIGHLY recommend you have the Cell One unlimited data package if you do this, the Ming has a full HTML web-browser and some other neat programs like MSN messenger that use the GPRS data, and well if you don't have unlimited you could find yourself with one heck of a bill at the end of the month. Now for text messaging and Multi-media messaging you will go into your message option, would be the 3rd top option on the top of your main screen that looks like an envelope. Again select the lower left hand menu and select "service setup" and then select "short message" This brings you to the text message settings screen. Server Center Number: +13305310005 Expire After: Maximum Use GPRS: No Again don't forget to save Now for Multi-media messages you will go into your same message option, the 3rd top option on the top of your main screen that looks like an envelope. Again select the lower left hand menu and select "Service setup" and then select "Multimedia Messages" Default Profile: (Click on the little blue and white folder button on the right) This brings you to the MMS Profile List, select the lower left menu option and select "New" Then finally you can add the proper multimedia settings Profile Name: (again I use cellular1, but it's up to you) MMSC: http://mmsc Max Sending Size: 30k Network Profile: (again select the little blue and white folder button, and select the original internet profile we first established) Again don't forget to save. Hope this helps, or at least if your firmware isn't the same as mine, it should point you in the right direction on where to find the areas to fill in the important information. Good luck and trust me once it's working you'll really enjoy the phone...
