I want ur firmware mod opinions

Hey guys, I'm working on modding the ROKR E6 firmware...but I want ur opinions regd. the mods I plan to do...

I'm planning to mod the 09P firmware...anyone who flashed to this, pl let me know any plus/minus points vs. 08P...

Here's what I plan to do..
1) Preloaded MPKG, Linloader
2) busybox, bash2, showQ (and maybe so other useful binaries) in /bin/
3) Talking Dictionary
4) CIMPlayer (what the heck is this, I have no idea)
5) USBLan, all home-screen short-cuts editable, real player list size increase.

HERE'S WHERE I WANT UR COMMENTS

1) Should I include voice commands (like in Ahman's 08P)
2) What should be the names of the categories in the app menu (Office, Multimedia, blah!!)
3) Which preload appz beside the one's mentioned above
4) Should i enable Engineering app (http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/v...ic.php?t=11592)

If I come across anything else...I'll add it to the list in bold...

Awesome sandman... BEST OF LUCK... could you add a avi / mp4 player as vids are smoother than RM....fonts changer and someway to get a full screen caller pic... these things would be awesome and much needed i am sure !!!

And well a modified firmware should have your mark on it...different themes...startup and shut down pics... sounds and all that... GO FOR IT MATE... hope you can get it done fast... can hardly wait !!!

Any rough date of launch ???

Rough date of launch...in a week or 2...will try to get it done asap...as time permits...will regularly update this thread...

Hey u can refine camera quality in the new firmware.. also try to include the volume table , if available, given by alpha...
and try to include"lyricshow" player.. it is awesome player but i'm unable to add media to playlist..

Well.. it should be "simple" read all the advantages of all the firmwares and include them.... I am sure there are contradicting ones ... but.. oh well...

What i would really like is to have some sort of macros and be able to remap the keys to whatever i want. If that could be done.

For instance.. Hitting send twice would actually redial the last number...

Hitting send, instead of making the phone give you a list of the different lists, it compiles all the phones dialed, received, missed, into one list for easy call back or redial or what not.

Possible?

Those kinds of behaviors.. can they be changed?

Would like to say that so far, .08p is the most stable firmware around, and It would be nice if the original java games/apps are intact [MusicID, Platinum Sodoku and Asphalt 2...], If also possible, could you use the lastest MPKG? I think it's the one made by eakrin... Sorry, I'm still locating the thread... The one that enables you so install/uninstall on the fly... If you'll use that app, I think that it can be located on this forum then busybox and showq is also included... I liked that version of MKPG for it lets you go to install/uninstall mode easily, unlike the other two that only lets you install or you have to restart the phone to have the other software run...

...Different names?...maybe something cooler...dnt make that much difference though.

...already stated...different themes...full screen pic caller...avi/mpeg player...theme loader/unloader....new nice games

...havent tested it... but if you have and its no bugs...then yeah

rest the camera tweaking to make it better...and more sound and clarity would be the ultimate thing....like somewhere in the forum theres a chinese media firmware.

I'd like to see the "ROKR E6" animated start-up splash instead of "Hellomoto. Also the option to turn on/off Screen 3 in setup.
