    @loppi:
    How did you enable ICS for Motorola Networking Device?. I tried on two different computers and when I try, it restarts the computer. Its working fine for other connections, but it restarts when I try to do for the USBLan connection

    @mitesh: Are you using ICS?

    I am not using ICS at all.. proxy is doing every thing for me...
    Now If u r able to ping ur internet ip address, then I think u r very near to success..
    make sure u have fake gprs connection having proxy server's address and port..
    start fake_dsm..
    and start opera and make sure opera is using that fakegprs connection..

    OK, i dont have the phone yet... but i think i can help. Does the Bluetoth (USBLAn or whatever connection to the phone) show up as a Network Connection under Network Connections? If Yes.... And you dont want to do a proxy server (I never have used a proxy to share Internet betwwen my computers)

    Then do this... in Network Connections Right Click the Connection.. then Properties.... Take the TCP/IP and Properties, and SET an IP...

    I dont know if you can set up an IP on the E6, but it would be good if you can, cause the first three numbers should match for the network to work roperly...

    i.e. comp has to be EEE.YYY.QQQ.34
    phone has to be EEE.YYY.QQQ.76 .. so the last number can be diff...

    Then try to ping your computer thru the phone or vice versa... if this much works... someone tell me

    Cyberoidx, yes I do get the connection and my phone is not having problems communicating through the telnet connection. The solution you are proposing would be needed if I was having a problem communicating in the telnet connection.

    Actually if I try to enable ICS for this connection, it restarts the computer. Tested on two different computers. Am trying the proxy now, will post the results.

    woohoo! it worked
    using proxy am typing this thing from the phone itself :P

    thanks mitesh and loppi and cyberoidx. the earlier problems were due to some access restrictions by my desktop. i guess i will need to reinstall my os to get over that. Thanks again

    Thanks, am still cursing my desktop on making me go through all that.
    So any progress regarding bluetooth connectivity?.
    I think I had seen a software for P910 for this. So this app could be made for E6 too, unless it uses some libraries unique to symbian os no?

    Maybe this page could help:
    http://www.thewirelessdirectory.com/...plications.htm

    And E6 does support DUN profile. So can't a network be established over that?
