well i have been toying around with this cfg... since its the only one i have seen working under my A1200 (sorry guys i own this one) even without setting up the internet... which its the oddest thing... anywayz, heres the file also a couple SS...

I live in India (Bangalore) and I using Motorola E6 (China Make) with Airtel. I'm unable to browse any website. I edited Data connection seetings manually and able to connect to GPRS. Could some one please let me know how to edit and repalce the .cfg file

hey people this is the problem im facin.....the option of S3 is completely greyed out...

another thing iv noticed is that i cant seem to add channels in the ifo service setup.....could these two issues be interlinked???

im using a R533_G_11.12.06P

1 more thing: iv read that only 3 shortcuts are changeable....mine gives 4

i got same options as u. mine is greyed put too. and when i was exploring with telnet, i saw those little pics below from hidr0. the one withy the lady in it. is that part of s3?

You'll need AirTel's data plan to browse any sites other than AirTel's own portal.

The pics are part of it. Every E6 has S3, it's just a matter of enabling it. Just like how every P2K phone has 'Funlights' but it's not enabled on most. Enabling S3 is in the flexbit CFG table. Think of it similar to SEEM editing. On Moto.IT168 they have mapped it a little bit (it was about 3-6 months ago.) Very cool stuff. Anyhow, I'll look for the necessary mod for it to enable S3, and test it on a patch for my F/W, then I'll make it for others. The only thing is that all of your setting will basically revert to factory, except the language. However, flashing the patch will not result in loss of skin, theme, ringtone, contacts, etc... Hopefully I can get it tonight, if not tonight (I may have to work a double today.. that's 24 hours straight :shocked: :shocked But I'll try guys!

NOTE: This will be for enabling it, there is no garuntee that this will A) Even Enable it and most importantly B) Have it recieve feeds. I know that on my service (Centennial Wireless USA) it will not. Nor will it on T-Mo (USA).

EDIT: I'm working on a script that will save all of your settings, and possibly enable screen and then save to a SMG file. It's going to take some time, so gimme a bit

u even have ur own firmware!!!! i thought only hybrid existed. if onyl google could translate ccmove faster, then i wouldn't mind waiting and think the E6 is slow on mods.

how can u look at the CFGs?!
sounds like the stuff i use to mess with on my razr. is it like splitting the firmware and soo on.? is it possible to dump ur own firmware yet?

Yes I do... lol maybe it's a guy thing, but I like my own F/w over most others lol. It's the fact of doing the hacks/mods myself that makes me proud of my own work. To look @ CFG's telnet, open samba and go to /ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/ that's where the CFG files are. Use SBFCodec by lucrece (See: E2mod.com) to open and split SBF file. It can also add/subtract SMG. W/ that prog one can make custom LP sbf, Bootscreen Image SBF (just CG39) Backup of settings SBF, all sorts. Or an almost full back up. To make complete backup, you need FB3.

I never knew FB3 can make a backup of ezx phones?. I bought a license about a year ago and scrapped the program when I got my V3x because it was too buggy. I thought it was just P2K related.

Damn, now I can't even remember what name I had my license under, lol.

I do agree with you about having your own firmware, which is reason I'm doing this stuff, the satisfaction of the doing the mods yourself makes it everybit enjoyable.
