Hi,

I have flashed my E6 with this FW, but i am unable to start the mobile.

RSD Lite Status as follows

It says manually turn phone( Progress 100%) Result : in process

tried to switch on but cant, tried by removing battery but still dead.

Also tried with other FW.

Please help....

Dont worry, remove the baterry then press and hold the power key for 10-15s, then put the baterry back, now power it on normally.

If the phone is still dead, you need to plug it to the charger, the phone will wake up and go into charging, leave it in charging for at least 15mins then you press power key to start the phone normally. Now if you see baterry status showing less than 20%, its recommended that you continue leaving it in charging till the baterry status go up to 80% at least, after that you can either use it with new F/w installed or re-flash it.

Note: this problem did not cause by this f/w, so many my friends have flashed with it without any problem.

Due to above post that was translated from vietnamese by astalavistadear with google has some dark meanings, I officially post this original introdution of my firmware here for you. Thanks to astalavistadear who created this thread to introduce this my f/w here! Details as below:


Introduction of Series R535_G_11.81.09P_WM95_XS


1 Technical Features:

+ EDGE (EGPRS)
+ Tri-band
+AP: R535_G_11.81.09P_WM95
+ BP R535_G_11.81.07P + R535_G_11.81.07P for English/Chinese version and R533_G_11.12.08P for VR version
+ USB Net
+ Unicode
+ New Technology of Skin/Theme Management (Division of internal/external and local/global classes and priority settings allows automatically installing/controling/loading/enabling/disabling skins/themes. All are automatically controlled by software instead of manual method like before)
+ Monitoring memory state
+ Optimizing applications registry so that applications run faster and more stable.

2 Highlighted features:

-- Multi-user mode (SIM manager) allows managing user's data according to SIM card (phone number). With this feature, every user (SIM card) has their own private data and only this user is able to access it. When you change the SIM card, all private data of last user will be cleared and phone creates new private database for new user.

- New version of Autorun comes along with new softwares and tools kit allow user to perform many modifications of phone's respect or system settings without the computer.

5. Detail upgrades and patches from previous versions

+ Fixed bug that the accepted/rejected button on the headset is not available while incomming call.

+ Optimized memory usage in autorun operations and am registry for faster and more stable running.

+ Fixed yellow icon of blackMing skin.

+ Fixed the wrong Ring And Vibrate icon of blackMing skin.

+ ... and many others from previous versions upgraded/fixed.


6. : Language (operating system):

+ Only English in English version.

+ English and Chinese in Chinese versions

+ No Vietnamese: It is easy to understand because the Vietnamese translation for our E6 is still not perfected. so I will make my own translation and put in later. However now with these series you can even easily to run a trial Vietnamese OS with support from Autorun feature such provides string function to you. For details of usage pls read the HuongDan.txt or Instruction.txt under MyProfile folder in Files Manager.

(Tip: All f/w here have supported unicode already)

7. Themes/skin

Two pre-installed skins are Black and BlackMing


8. Flashing instructions
- I recommend that you should use RSD-Lite 3.6 (not need higher version that may be infected with some virus) to flash this f/w (and other f/w, too, ofcos)
- After flashing you need to master clear your phone (only 1 time required) in order that operating system performs fully its settings.

The f/w is cool..
But dude i hav a problem in using skin ass.
The theme is storing in /skins/running..
It is situated in phone memory..
Dude its a prob...
Hw can i store these theme in memory card using skin ass.
It is showing this when i istall theme...
"since the themes storage folder was assined, skinasst has been monioring & reporting changes from this folder to detect ,etc...."
wat is we hav to do wit theme storage folder..

As suggested tried:

Removed battery pressed power button for 30 secs, then putting battery tried again... it did not worked.

Also plugged charger but still the same condition

Mobile gets stuck in the boot mode - it hangs in startup mode only... does not go further

Please suggest. i m worried if my E6 is dead for ever...

Thanks for the firmware!

Well I have successfully (afaik) flashed my E6 with R535_G_11.81.09P_WM95_XS_SecurePhone_English_Chinese_VN_Workingman using RSDlite 4.2 & XP sp3. I had a little strange thing happen at the end where it was one step before pass and said I should manually start up the phone and stayed like that for a long time. I checked the phone and it was already connected asking for a SIM card. Anyhow, I unplugged the phone, power cycled it, reconnected the phone(which caused PC to check all drivers again), and then RSD said pass.

Now for the first problem that I can't figure out. On all of the 3 firmwares that I have used on this phone I have never had the Master Reset/Master Clear button be available to use. I have found them at the bottom of the Setup menu but they are always greyed out and unclickable.

So now I have some questions:
How I can do a master reset as per Workingman's instructions if the master reset option is greyed out. --- Apparently you can only do this when you have a SIM card inserted. I guess I didn't check when I did put one in.
What is the recommended package manager(or is one included). --- SmartAsst is included

Try to do as I suggested for serveral times. If phone still cannot wake up, you take the baterry out and leave the phone without baterry for 30mins-60mins, then put back the baterry and charge it, I met this situation and my phone went up after this step. If still failure, you will try to change the battery and retry.

Also note that: If you sure that u have simultaneously pressed Camera key and power key buttons, aAnd the phone did not wakeup. Do as descriptions above.

Once the phone wake up continue charging it till baterry is filled up then you just re-flash (if u want to flash it again).
