please can you tell me how we can stop creating Thumb.db file.
pla its urgent,due to thumb.db i got blank wallpaper
Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.10423/1724; en; U; ssr)

facing same problem since i update the window of my pc..
evry time when i open any folder a "thumbs.db" profile created in hidden mode.
also waiting for the solution

dude i did not faced the prob but when the thumbs.db file is created i have delete that file

It is a configuration file.Can be deleted but will regenerate itself.

If you’re on the desktop…

1. Click Start
2. Double-click Control Panel
3. Double-click Folder Options

Or, if you have My Computer open and are browsing any folder in your system…

1. Click Tools (next to File, Edit, View at the top of the screen)
2. Click Folder Options

After performing either of those two operations, the “Folder Options” window will open up.

1. Click on the View tab
2. Check off the circle next to Do not cache thumbnails
3. Click the Ok button

Beware--Due to lack of configuration file , it will now take longer to browse through large folders as the page has not been cached in the db file.
