UPDATE-FIRMWARE: Motorolafans 10P Auto Swap-BETA1

I along with a few members of Motorola fans have put together this monsterpack.

Features at a glance:
1.The pack is based on 10p with 08p components making it fast.
2. Telnet with choice in USB Menu(thanks to eakrin)
3. Auto mount Wallpapers, Ringtones, SKins and Font from
memory card, no need to install skins.
4. Auto SWAP, if RAM reduces below a certain amount SWAP
is automatically enabled and when it increases SWAP is
disabled.
5. You can add your own Binaries
6. Startup scripts supported
7. Custom touch screen press sounds
8. Improved Java performance and overall performance of
system
9. A Util folder in mmc for easy access to certain functions,
even after mounting just click on a file and Mass Storage
mode is available
10. Retains original look, so if you want to get warranty
repairs, it wont be an issue, especially for Indian users as
its based on the Indian pack.

TODO:
1. Add more features, the pack is open to feature request
2. Mounting of startup and shutdown animations are buggy,
sometimes it works sometimes it does'nt
3. Have to implement mounting of startup sound
4. Different versions to cater to different users, themes etc.

Appreciate the feedback from users as this pack is still a Beta, lots of work is yet to be done, I have ideas for new features and stuff, this is only the beginning .

NOTE: The pack will be continuously updated and features added with support from the members. Post up your ideas and lets see if we can intergrate it into the pack. I want this to be as open as possible, and we can make several versions each catering to certain people, with the support of the members. If you face an issue and you know how to solve it, dont hesitate to post up the fix. Like I said this pack is by the members for the members. If you feel my coding is untidy and want to neaten things up, please do so .

Also please read the ReadMe.doc, after installation there will be a version of it on your memory card as well .

Post Reserved For Updates:
FIX1: Now startup and shutdown tones are working. In the Animation folder add any gif you want to use as startup and shutdown and name them as Moto1.gif and Moto2.gif
Startup tone is working as well. In the phone folder add any startup tone you want with the name "ui_start_up_mono.wav"
UPDATE1: Once you reboot with the new ezx_boot.cfg file you will see a new folder called icons in /mmc/mmca1/Multimedia. In this folder add any iconres.ezx file and this will become your default icons for the default skins.

Installation:
Extract the files on comp and put both file in root of memory card and click on the Updateboot.lin file.

i have a few suggestion
include screen 3
i have a screen 3 cfg file that must work in india i am uploading it here
enable sms delivery report by default
enable EDGE and Quad band by default
i think it will make the firmwere complete
keep up the good work guys

Screen3 is already enabled
SMS delivery report is an option to have it permanently enabled, check in the util folder .
Default EDGE interferes with Music ID, so it better you do it yourself.

"NOTE: USING THIS FIRMWARE MIGHT AFFECT MASS STORAGE MODE. IF YOU WANT TO ACCESS MASS STORAGE MODE YOU NEED TO TURN OFF THE PHONE REMOVE THE MEMORY CARD AND TURN IT ON AGAIN AND THEN INSERT MEMORY CARD THEN MASS STORAGE MODE SHOULD WORK."


Can you fix this problem by create app to mouth,unmouth or enable/disable swap. ( I belive this affect mass storage mode, Am I right? )
If you can fix this.I belive this wiill be one of the best firmware we ever had.

It is fixed, there is a tool called EnableMassStorage.lin in the Util folder. Click it and everything gets unmounted. But by chance if there is something that does'nt then you need to do that. But in most of my tests its worked fine.

this is my opinion about this f/w.this f/w is look like original,but it will have new folders in our mmc (multimedia and system).with that,we can modding our phone like:
*we can change any wallpaper and ringtone what u like to default wallpaper and ringtone.(yes,i liked this very much ).please see the screenshoot.i can add wallpapers and ringtones as long as i liked)
*Skin installing (like multitheme by Dagr.please give attention with pskn.file,u must write /usr/data_resource/skin/,etc.
i give the example folder blackming theme and pskn.file too.and put the folder blackming theme (inside this folder is iconres.ezx,logo wallpaper,skn file) and pskn file in the mmc/mmc1/multimedia/skins/
*enabled sms report,
*easy change font
*etc.
(the way how do that,u can read in the guide readme.doc)

i know there is little bug in this f/w (animations and startup sound not fixed yet),but this f/w is fast and stable and this f/w is most easy to modding ur hp,f/w.ok,i give the screenshoot for this f/w.

bond2005,aksd make this f/w like original f/w,so he doesnt include preload apps.but with that,we can install and modding ur phone free and do as long as u like.zmplayer and qezplayer u can installed by ur self,fm recording still doesnt exist until now,about speaker and headset sound,u can use exmms or rockbox.both apps is good for music listening.

thanks for the reply aksd, but are the settings for indian mobile carriers or chinese? if its chinese then no use in india.this f/w rocks
