PartialFlashFile: Get startup scripts working on 08p

Thanks for sharing this superb stuff.

I am running 08P on E6 and want to run a startup script so that I can fix problem with my current iconres.ezx file.

can you please share this 08P CG43 on a better place so that people can download it easily. I think its impossible (almost, or i dont know how to) download it from rapidshare website.

Hello Everyone!!

Can anyone please guide me on this problem.
I installed an iconres.ezx file while updating skins. so when start my E6 it gets stuck on splash screen.

Can I run the startup script to fix the iconres.ezx issue? will it execute ? and how to do it.

I run 08P. with eakrin's modified CG43 on it.

please help.....

Hi again

I have E6 on 08P + applied modified CG43 by eakrin.
My E6 can't get to the ready page as I have copied an incorrect iconres.ezx file that want to restore using startup script.

I kept skinrestore.lin script in startup folder on card as below

cp /mmc/mmca1/startup/iconres.ezx /ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/skin/

# make irritating noise to know if it runs
cat /usr/SYSqtapp/phone/8k.wav > /dev/dsp

but I can't see this startup lin script executing. If it executes I should hear that irritating sound.

any help please??

finally I had to flash with generic 08P firmware.

can u help me change the boot image via partial flash
im using .08 i tried editing cg39 with sbfcodec and created the sbffile and i flashed it... and flashing=success but rsd lite asks to restart my phone when i tried it never powerrs on...............and i have to roll back to .08p.....please help..........

Did u try taking out the battery, waiting for sometime and then powering it on after inserting it back in? that usually does the trick

remember that the file size of the new boot image should be less or equal to the original one. also make sure you dont change names, or the lower/uppercase in the name.

you might wanna have a look at the a1200 guide to modding. there is an excellent way to change the boot image using ekonsole and mtdtools without having to flash the entire phone.

yeah i've tried the A1200 boot image changing process and i almost bricked my phone and it didnt restart.........i flashed it back .......iv'e even tried removing the battery for abour 2 mins..........it didnt work.......can u please provide me the steps ...........it will be usefull for other e6 users.......also..

ive a wierd prob. hope SOMEONE will b able to sought it out.
i had installed .mpkg player and installed various .pkg file(pictureflow, start menu etc) and they were running perfectly fine but then due to changing themes my cell got hanged so i got it repaired in the motorola care. now ive tried installing various .mpkg players again, and files such as skins, splash etc r running but none of the other .pkg files(pictureflow, start menu etc) r starting(eventhough the icons appear on the menu). ive tried the card registry copy & paste trick too. even superman or smartasst r unable to start any .pkg file..
PLEASSSSEEE HELP..
