INFO:Use PC's Internet connection on E6 Revised.

Hi all

Finally it is working for me tooooo

the previously installed fake dsm has some error in it...

Nice & Easier method..... Superb man!

But one thing is i could not use it with for my E6 default browser...

There are many guides here on the forum on how to make this work. I have researched all day and i could not make it work using these guides.

After some Trial and Errors, i finally got it to work! And i did it w/o using eKonsole or Busybox!

This is what you need to do.
1.Telnet E6 (There are plenty guides out there on how to)

2.a)Make a New GPRS( give any thing in profile name, apn, user name, and password)
b)instead of putting my PC's IP address where Primary gateway IP is, i put my E6's IP. (aka.192.168.16.1) Port:8080 (Notice in other guides they say put your PC's IP Address, that did not work for me!) And Save.

3. Install Opera Mini(can get from their website) & Fake_Dsm(http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/download.php?id=3763)
on the phone itself.

4. Install CCPROXY for the PC. I left everything to default settings except i changed the Port in the Options from 808 to 8080.

5. a) Run CCPROXY
b) Run fake_dsm
c) Run Opera mini and choose the profile you've made.

6. Enjoy!

I tried it a bunch of times, and i seem to be doing everything OK.

But when i try to reach something in Opera Mini 4, i get this error:
"Failed to connect to the internet.
900
java.io.IOException: Connection not found."

Nothing seems to happen when i run that fake_dsm. It's just a huge icon, and it runs, but gives me no messages, no info, nothing. Is that al right?

Any ideas?

And do we have to do something when we telnet, or just enter the root password and stay at the prompt?

Edit: i also found that after i create the GPRS profile, if I try to connect to it in that profiles screen, it says failed connection. At the time, i have ccproxy and fakedsm running

what happen when you click on fakedsm icon? How can you know if it runs or not?

@Ganeshkumar - fake_dsm - tap menu (top left) and then scroll to the bottom, .... right down, the icon for this is huge so it goes all the way down,....

if you know your way around the phone, i say use photoshop to set it right, else it works good!

The best ,we should try to make E6 can connect to PC via bluetooth and use this connection instead wi-fi.
I wanna use RSS reader to feed on the air.

Its already possible....there is an application from ccmove which allows you to make BT PAN connection (though your BT dongle must support that profile).
