DISCUSSION: ROCKBOX on the E6

Firstly I'd like to thank blackhawk on behalf of the entire E6 community for giving us this awesome application.

This thread will cover anything and everything about ROCKBOX, if you have problems post them here, if you've got equalizer presets post them here, or even plugins
All bugs present etc can be discussed in this thread, any questions about rockbox can be posted in this thread.

Installation:

Step1:

First make sure you have the latest version of exmms player. You need to install blackhawks latest pkg along with the update. I've included the updated pkg here. If you dont have the latest pkg, uninstall all previous versions of exmms, double check after uninstallation by going to /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/ and check for exmms or qtproxy folder and delete it if present.

Step2:

Install the new version of blackhawks exmms.pkg which is included in this post.

Step3:

Unzip the rockbox.zip file and copy "system" and "rockbox" to /mmc/mmca1/

Step4:

Install the rockboxe6.pkg

Step5:

Play rockbox by clicking on it

BUG LIST:
1. Rockbox continues to play through earpiece when incoming call is picked up.
2. Radio is not functional yet
3. Video player crashes sometimes when an .mpg file is played.

DOOM:

1. To create the doom folder to /mmc/mmca1/rockbox/archos/.rockbox/
2. Extract the archive and you get 2 files. Copy them both to /mmc/mmca1/rockbox/archos/.rockbox/doom/.
3. Run Rockbox, goto plugins-games-doom and enjoy. Gameplay is beautifully smooth.

Keys and Running:

After going to doom, you can switch on or off the volume and other settings can be adjusted. When you're ready click on play game. To get the Menu pop up press the answer key. To move the cursor up use the volume up key and joypad center to select. TO move forward you need to use the volume up key, the jopad center selects your weapon, while volume down is fire. Left and right in the joy pad is left and right in game play.

What about the key mapping?

Its playable. Volume up is move forward, left and right is left and right and volume left is shoot. Joypad center is change weapons

Goto Plugins-Doom-Options-Sound-On

Default is off.
