I noticed that there are some members that are having issues w/ activating the swap file on their phone. Whether it be not being able to find a PKG for it or make the prog work correctly. So here is a very simple PKG for it: MySwap . It is as simple as it gets: First launch installs the swap and activates the swap file. Click again, it deactivates swap. Simple as that.

NOTE: This prog will tell you what it's doing. It'll say whether it is activating the swap or not., via ezxpopup.

Here is a 128mb Swap file. Install the prog first and if you want to use the 128mb swap, all one needs to do is overwrite the existing swap.bin in /mmc/mmca1/Swap/ (the folder 'Swap' in the SD card root). Any Q's, Complaints, Threats? Post em'!

I think it is a brand new one.
Is it a bug when it turns down player volume to minimum? I have to reboot the phone to get the volume back to normal.

I have 'superman' installed on my phone which I hear kills off the requirement for mpkg installer. So tried installing 'myswap' with 'superman'. A few seconds later I got this msg that included the word 'registry' (that's all I was able to catch) and then phone went blank for about 6-7 seconds. Then back again.

I don't think it's worked though coz my memory status is still the same and I don't seem to have a swap folder in my SD card.

Am I doing something wrong?

Xike, I haven't had it turn volume down in the past.. That's odd. I'm working on a newer slimmed down release (within the next few days).

Shaj, there is no installed icon in your app list? That is odd. I haven't tried the superman prog on my phone, though i'd imagine that it is the same as MPKG in terms of installing progs.

This is just my version, from scratch . I tried others for A1200 and none seemed to work for me.

Nope...no icon at all

Could it be a superman issue?

Can Mpkg & SUperman co-exist?

It's a very useful app, I noticed that NFS underground loaded much faster when swap is enabled... I just noticed, though, that I'm not able to load gpSP when swap is enabled... Is it because gpSP is soooo memory hungry that the CPU of the E6 can't handle it? I tried deactivating the swap app and it loads just fine... Just tought you should know... Keep up the good work! And Thanks!

Doesn't quite work for me...
I installed with with mpkg and after installing the phone froze. Had to restart by replacing battery. After the first restart somewhy the card wasn't recognized. After second restart it was recognized with MySwap apparently installed correctly.

I placed the 128 MB swap.bin in a Swap folder in my memory card. Then I clicked on MySwap, nothing happens....it just shows loading icon in place of cursor for a moment and then nothing...where did I go wrong?
