Hi all,
is this project still alive? Nothing happened for half a year and the link to the authors home page is dead. Is our current knowledge about the precise structure of native.db documented somewhere? Would be easier than reverse engineering of the usync source code.
Hi *!
I am currently trying to read out native.db on the phone, in order to access the address book. I tryied modifying the u-sync code and it worked fine - on the PC. On the phone, however, it doesnt: I can open the database just fine, but when I set the cursor to the first entry, it says
DB_NOTFOUND: No matching key/data pair found
Could this be a locking problem?
I tried copying the database to somwhere else, which didnt work. Could this be a locking problem?
Here is my code

Can i cp *.db to my pc for backup, and then copy back to my e680i ?
i had tried this, but it can't work. the sms is "searching" always. WHY?
Hi, I am not dead, but the proyect is almost dead
The problem that we step into is that is almost imposible to write native.db because each item is write in many diferente databases, for indexing pourposes.
So, in this (the last) version you can expor contants to CSV, VCARD and text files.

Hi, I don't know if this is useful to this thread, but you may want to check this out:
http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/v...ic.php?p=31671
chiennk has been able to store nativedb in the memory card
E680i C5.A6P B0.B1P; C5.AEP B0.B1P (28/07/2006); C5.AEP C0.B1P (03/08/2006) BT ID E680g
Hi!
Thanks for your comment, I didn't know that that can be done!
Any ways, it still does not help to modify (insert new records) to native.db.
thanks,

I can insert new records (contact, SMS, calender) to native database in memory card.
When you use native database in memory card, inserting the first record will take some time.
When power off the phone, it will take some time to umount the native database, so make sure you wait until it finish. Then power on the phone again, new records have been inserted to native database in memory card.
Well done is that action of doing
which one repents not later,
and the fruit of which,
one reaps with delight and happiness.
Hi!
Sorry, I am not sure I understand you
Are you able to insert a new Contact [for example] using a non EZX* program, and then see it in EZX* applications?
How you manage to insert the field, and all its indexes in all the databases? Do you have the database design?
Great!!!
