there is no need for a dualboot as with openezx because mkezx use the moto-ezx kernel.
this is why i wrote "same kernel"
i don“t know if mkezx is running with the new openezx kernel.
as i understand it correct mkezx is kernel 2.4.20 based.
@swifty
i know about mpkg start-up, i also know about xsdl port. but i was just wondering if we can dual boot the phone with mkezx like done for openezx(if i remember correctly).

I don't understand what you mean under "dual-boot". MkEzx-environment runs under ezx-firmware kernel and apps. If you want, don't kill Qt-server and run X under Qt, this is works too.

Latest SVN-build. mkezxzx-svn-01.11.2007.
thanks for the mkezx images!
can you give a small note on whats new, whats working, whats not working?
swifty nothing new, just minor changes, look at mkezx-commits archive.
Small guide how-to do quick start:
- download and extract mkezx-gpe-image.img.gz
- rename mkezx-gpe-image.img to mkezx.ext2 and copy to root of sd-card
- download mkezx.mpkg, rename to mkezx.pkg and install to the phone
- goto apllications list and click to MkEZX icon
- do nothing and wait about 1 min
