It is working on A1200?
You know you can change the volume of the headpiece and mic, anytime you want. But setting it once, does not necessarily mean that it will remain the same for ever. Mostly we need to set the speaker / mic settings during call, to achieve desired effect.
I badly wanted a feature which sets the volume of speaker/mic (configurable), automatically whenever I am in call. The end result is this. Here are two versions of my old applications which together do what I just described.
IMPORTANT: Install both gerald_vibe and gerald_soundctrl both onto MMC
Open sound control, adjust both sliders as you wish for calls, and click on "Save call settings" in the menu. Thats it.
When you feel that you dont want the volume to be set automatically, open sound control and click on "Clear call settings" in the menu.
Note: gerald_vibe should be running for this to work. It automatically identifies a new call, and invokes sound control to set the configured volumes on the fly.
Actually i am using this for almost 2 weeks now, but didnt get enough time to pack it and publish it. I am totally stuck these days![]()

most probably not. Sorry if I had forgot to mention. This works on A780, and might probably work on E680 (but vibration will not work).Originally Posted by skorianez

Hi Gerald, some questions for u:Originally Posted by ageraldnaveen
1. what's new (better) in comparision with last version 1.1 ?
2. why have to install both apps on MMC and how do it with MPKG app?
3. during call have i to run gerald_vibe to make hearing quality better ?
btw i used yr sound control 1.1. but without effect. It seems to be the parameters in .gaintable file not changed
Answers:
1. This version supports you to store "call settings", which would come into effect whenever u attend call.
2. you have to install both onto MMC, bcoz both are dependant on each other. currently i've hardcoded paths. So you have to if u need to use it. Install both MPKGs separately and choose install in "MMC/Transflash".
3. you need not manually run it everytime u attend call. I mentioned that, it has to be running when you atttend call for this to work. ie., you need to run gerald_vibe once, and leave it running as usual. Then on it will have effect if you had set "call settings" using sound control.
you need not change any parameter in gaintable for soundcontrol to work. however, i am not sure why it didnt not have effect for u.

Thanks for quick reply. However i still dont know how to choose install MPKG apps in "MMc/Transflash". There is no problem for .jar app because during instalation is request where should we locate them. When instaling MPKG is no such request and all apps are instaled in the phone automatically.Originally Posted by ageraldnaveen
??? i'm surprised. may be someone else might answer this better.
bcoz, on my phone, when i click on mpkg I always get a dialog asking for the "install in (phone/mmc)" and the application group(office, multimedia, user1...). I dont know when it would not come.
