Support .mp3, .ogg, .mp4 (tested playing iTunes converted audio), .m4a (not tested yet), .aac (not tested yet) but mp4 support (.mp4, .m4a, .aac) still unstable, sometimes crash on the end of file but now not the whole xmms process crashing. You only need to stopping and back playing I also fixed mp4 id3 tag reader but id3 tag in .aac format still not supported.

Please try my first release eXMMS package! Still have some bug and playlist editor not working yet. Tested and recommended install on MMC and before starting please modify /mmc/mmca1/.system/QTDownLoad/exmms/home/.xmms/xmms.m3u because I am sure my media file not exists on your phone

xmms-embedded supplied in my package have no GUI plugin, actually a command line media player. eXMMS is a remote application to xmms and not work on your phone. But you can try dancing with xmms binary on your phone:
1. Extract my eXMMS package
2. Copy exmms directory to your MMC
3. Modify /mmc/mmca1/exmms/home/.xmms/xmms.m3u
4. Maybe you need to modify /mmc/mmca1/exmms/setenv.sh
5. Open telnet session or qonsole
6. On telnet session/qonsole issue (without my comments of course!):
- cd /mmc/mmca1/exmms
- source setenv.sh
- xmms -h // to see all xmms options
- xmms -p& // execute xmms, play first track
- xmms -f& // play next track
- xmms -r& // play previous track
- kill -9 `pidof xmms` // kill xmms process

this looks awesome !!! but here is the inevitable question... how about the source? i'd love to see how hard it would be to port to a pure qt front-end in order to try a mkezx package - this would open up your work for a1200 users as well (and not just the devs )

I am sure not to difficult to port this cute front end Only use EZX stuff on about box and skin browser and have a plan to run this application on my Linux desktop too. I will share the source code.

Thanks for your feedback, but the nice scrolling text not and will not support chinese characters.

Running eXMMS last night with shuffle and repeat mode on. Playing .mp3 and .ogg format about 6 hours without crash

great job BH...
i exported m3u from jet audio, edited a bit and it is working like a charm.

using this xmms since 10:00 and its almost 14:00...
4 hours of mp3 and no crash, no hand nothing.
i have no issues with current functionalities

will be looking forward for final version....
