Gerald! This works GREAT. FINALLY we can now enjoy vibe and ring simultaneously. I am curious if this works on the E680(i).

Let your phones ring and vibrate at the sametime, like anyother phone.
Based on my search on the forums in motorolafans.com, I could not find anyone posting an application for this. Although there were some vibration techinques based on low-frequency on one of the ring-tone channels, they still do not get close to the real vibration of the phone.
After so much reading, hacking I 've managed to write this application. Hope this would be very useful to everyone. So posting it here.
Please read README (packed in zip file) for how-to-install. Its very simple. You can setup in few minutes.
I would be happy to get back any bugs / feedback on this.
But use at your own risk, although its not destructive at all!
thanx

thats coool to know that its working for you! i've not tested with E680[i:39c42deede] phones, but I believe it would work seamlessly, based on the internals of the application.Originally Posted by f0x0r

Thanks Gerald, it works great. However, when I get a call and I don't answer it, it doesn't stop vibrating unless I change the profile to vibrate and someone calls it again.
And do u have an uninstall script as well? I would appreciate that.
thanks for the research and work that you've already put into it.
@thechronic: thanx for the feedback.. may be i missed that test caseOriginally Posted by thechronic
I will try to debug the problem and fix it and post it here.
I will also try to give an uninstaller for the same. I basically wanted to try a basic run of the vibration app. Now i'm happy to hear the feedbacks.

I tried it, but this test case seems to be working fine for me! So I could not do anything useful to fix. However like you suggested, now i've added a script to stop vibration and exit the application. see my next post for it.Originally Posted by thechronic

========= New version of gerald_vibe. ===========
Features:
1. In the first version, if something goes wrong (highly unlikely thou), the phone would continue to vibrate. This version has a script (gerald_vibe_stop.sh) to resolve from such a situation to normal.
2. If in case you dont want your phone to vibrate, you can call gerald_vibe_stop.sh to exit the application.
Hope that helps.

works fine, congratulations
Can you post the source code?
