Hi, I can activate the script by hand, but It would be nice to do since sartup. Can anybody explain how to do it in simple words for linux ignorants and pre-starters?
Ok I would really like this feature on my A780 but I'm a complete idiot as far as the operating system of the phone is concerned. At the moment I can connect the phone to my pc using the usb cable, so how do I instal to the diska/gerald folder as in the readme file. I have had a trawl through the web pages of this site and for the life odf me I can't see any more info on how to do this. In Windows on the pc I can explore the phone and see folders such as "my Programs, images, my Audio etc but no diska/
Many thanks
Mac

Thanks a lot. I don't know why it wasn't stopping from vibrating before but it's working great now. I don't have to use the stop script.
Just one thing I noticed in the readme file. In the following line in the readme file, I think one of the gerald_vibe.sh is supposed to be gerald_vibe_stop.sh
1. copy the gerald_vibe.bin, gerald_vibe.sh, gerald_vibe.sh files to /diska/gerald_vibe
folder.
Thanks a lot for your contribution. I figured that something this could be done but you've made possibility a reality. This will help me so much because of the low volume of these phones, although I increase the volume of my customized ringtones, I sometimes miss my calls especially when I'm driving with the radio on. Your program should make that a thing of the past.
Thanks again
i have a780...its not working for me...i click on gerald_vib.sh n it says "cannot find an application to open this file"....can u clarify the procedure pls?,..
ok here is the source for the gerald_vibe application.. did u people ever think that it would be a multi-threaded applicationI hope this app opens up lot of new innovations..!!
@f0x0r: i was actually waiting for a reply to my mail to you..may be u are away, so posting this here.
@AlanMac, @mech_nrg: you guys need to install the linloader application for this to work. "By default configuration," what you see thru the smb share (showing images, programs, audio) is /diska. So if you create a folder in that, you actually create it in /diska.

thanks gerald!!! is a good job!
nice apps gerald!
As mentioned in Gerald's readme file you need to have LinLoader. Once that is installed on your phone, click on the file and hold it down until it says Open With and select LinLoader and click the check box Always use the program to open this filetype.Originally Posted by mech_nrg
So everytime u turn off and turn on your phone, you can click on the gerald_vibe.sh file to turn on the vibe and ring
If you can see MyAudio, MyImages, etc., extract the file to there. You will then have the folders gerald_vibe, MyAudio, MyImages, etc. in that order.Originally Posted by AlanMac
@thechronic: oops, i forgot to change the README file as you had mentioned. will change that and upload soon.![]()
