FBReader is an e-book reader

Work on FBReader for a long time ago. Now, FBReader ready for E680i. Still OPIE look and feel but EZX input methode support. Click on top left decoration button to show EZX virtual keyboard!

Installation step:
1. Install ezx-qpe-opiecore-qtaux.mtf,
2. Install fbreader-0.7.3-data.mtf,
3. Install fbreader-0.7.3.mpkg.

FBReader-0.7.4g (fbreader_0.7.4g.mpkg) true native EZX initial release ready!

08/01/2006:
FBReader-0.7.4g (fbreader_0.7.4g_ezx.mpkg) second release ready!

- Rotation support work in all directions (0, 90, 180, 270 degrees), each with different key mapping (A780 user need to change manually)
- Dialog result bug fixed
- Solid color in Color Options sample color
- LCD backlight always on in fullscreen mode (you can disable it, remove lcdsleep from FBReader's bin directory)
- Wait Message changed, now we can browse Books Library, Recent Books, and Table of Contents in fullscreen mode
- Pure base on samr7's Unoffical EZX SDK, thanks Sam!
- GPL source available soon

In programming perspective, this is my best port so far. Clean, pure base on samr7's Unofficial EZX SDK, GPL (of course, I have learn from eKonsole problems!), work base on good coding from FBReader author make me feel like an advance coder

Still try to make a contact to FBReader author, try to make this port official FBReader project!

E680i default key mapping:
- Left = Undo
- Right = Redo
- Up = Large Scroll Backward
- Down = Large Sroll Forward
- Answer = Show Table of Contents
- RealPlayer = Show Library
- Radio = Show Recent Books
- VolumeUp = Increase Font Size
- VolumeDown = Decrease Font Size
- Camera = Rotate Screen

- Download fbreader-0.7.4g source from http://only.mawhrin.net/fbreader
- Extract it and then apply my patch
- Read the build instructions for EZX (README.ezx)

Uploaded fbreader_0.7.4i_ezx_lcdsleep.zip to make backlight always on in fullscreen mode. This archieve have 2 *.mtf files. Install fbreader_0.7.4i_ezx_lcdsleep_mmc.mtf if FBReader installed in Memory Card or fbreader_0.7.4i_ezx_lcdsleep_diska.mtf if FBReader installed in Phone Memory.

Update to FBreader 0.7.4k
- Segmentation fault on exit at first running has been fixed
- Segmentation fault at start has been fixed
- Support *.mobi extension
- Book series support has been added (thanks to Victor Wagner for patch)
- In fb2 files, cover image is now visible
- lcdsleep back included

Remove old FBReader package

Latest FBReader version (0.8.14) ready for A1200/E6 and E680i/A780. This version have a better look and feel then the official version. Look came from Motorola Labs
My change including:
- Transparent dialog background
- Copy/paste support
- Better menu bar icon
- "Open With" from File Manager support
- Text selection fix
- About dialog
- etc

On E68o (not i) after installation I'v got this error:
_Zlnn216_N10QPopupMenu10updateItemEi
in /mmc/mmca1/.system/opie/lib/libqpe.so.1 library file.
Is it so difficult to recompile those binaries against E680 (not i) libraries!?
Can You help on E680 (not i) community!

@blackhawk Thank you for your efforts. I will try to find a way to express my gratitude
I am testing the application, but I have some minor problems:
- I cannot install to mmc, 'intall failed' error message. On the phone memory it is ok.
- I cannot change the encoding, and other settings because the keyboard is not active on the settings option
- Within the settings option I can only access the first tab, the others are not visible, or not accessible
- The html e-books are not working because the links are dead.
Did I miss something? Maybe it is my fault? I have an a780.

I was trying to help my self with problm I have...
First, I copy libqtaux2.so.1 ; libopiecore2.so.1 and libqpe.so.1 from /ezxlocal/opie/lib (opie_oe_2 cramfs from cyph is mounted, here) in folder /mmc/mmca1/.system/opie/lib !
Trying from qonsole app. to start FBReader from /diska/.system/QTDownLoad/fbreader/bin
after exporting OPIEDIR;QTDIR;PATH;LD_LIBRARY_PATH as from script in pkg!
Then, there was missing some other libraries as libqte.so.2 and libpng12.so.1 ! Copy from /ezxlocal/opie/qt/lib in to /mmc/mmca1/.system/opie/lib and starting FBReader get me to Segmentaion fault error!?
Why? How to get wright libraries for this application to work on E680 (not i) phones!

Thanks for your efforts, I find a bug in context display. When reading GBK books, I find it displays the book context right out of the screen, possibly the line length has not correctly line feed?

Have no plan to fix anything, will port FBReader-0.7.4d to pure EZX Need to clean my disk first, disk space ~32MB only EZXSysInfo? Only need a couple hours to port but a couple days to write something. Actually, I am not advance coder
