wow! thanks.
here are a couple of screenshots of some of the test programs for the enlightenment package (taken from an e680i):
Seem like other Operating System for our phone, as opie.
Does it really work in our phone?
How about the speed?
And how about the applications for it?
wow!!! looks so nice man!
@kogan01
it is kind of like opie, but not really. opie uses qt to handle all the graphics, while the enlightenment stuff uses its own low-level graphics, and in theory is very efficient, also opie was built from the ground up for pda's, while the enlightenment stuff is more generic and the pda-level "desktop" still needs to be worked out.
and yes, what is working has been tested on both an e680i and a1200. speed wise it depends on what else the phone is trying to do, but generally the graphics seem very clean and smooth.
as far as applications i really have no idea, you should check out the enlightenment web page for options, and google would be more helpful w/ this than i could be.
mainly this is trying to extend rasterman's proof of concept (see the beginning of htis thread) and set it up w/in mkezx so that future development is more easily shared - and therefore (hopefully) debugged and added to more rapidly.
nothing yet?
Since the forum update i cannot get either of your links to work. What is the status recently and can you repost links to download the mkezx files.

It's only a phone if you want it to be
All of rpconnect's E17 packages are part of the current MkEzx version, so no extra downloads are needed![]()

I am just curious maybe I got my hopes up by reading about some other embeded os's based on e17 but will this just be another opie, cannot really control anything like make calls just overlay ezx and look pretty?
