how to use linux telnet to E680?

I'm using ubuntu linux. Can I telnet to E680?
I think it requires usblan driver. But I cannot find the linux driver version.

read the FAQ's and howto's, and all of the posts (i know there is a lot, but all the info is there)!!! the USBLAN connection from a linux box to the phone has been discussed quite a bit; if you are using a very recent kernel then it sounds like the USBLAN stuff is supported, if you are using a 2.4 kernel then you will have to compile the module yourself. in between you might be out of luck. alternatively there is the PPP connection over BT that can be used for telnet and samba mounting, its slower than the USB method, but does not rely on USBLAN drivers. keep searching.....

Okay.. The keyword is HOWTO.

Sorry for asking but, I don't know what to search. I used to "use e680 and linux", it throws many thread because they are all linux .

@rpconnect: actually, its possible to talk to the USBLAN on non-recent 2.6.x kernels as well. Before I switched to a ppp-based solution, I used USBLAN, and didn't feel like upgrading my kernel for that, so I backported the recent 2.6 patch to an older 2.6. I don't remember the details but I remember it was trivial and took minutes.

thats good to know, i have two mahcines w/ pre USBLAN 2.6.x kernels and have been getting by w/ a BT connection. thanks for the tip!
