Q: VLC Player for ROKR E6?

Hi

On my PC I always use VLC media player. Its the most awesome pice of software written, as most of you would agree. Plays anything to everything except real formats.

My question is, since VLC is natively a Linux app., has there been efforts to port it onto E6 like phones (having Linux OS and ARM core) ?

post this in the development forum .. also you may wanna ask the develppers at VLC web site there pretty open to new projec tI am sure they would like to port it , I for one would enjoy having it on my phone ..

yup, VLC does have an ARM source available, but we dont have enough developers

anyways, just use Mplayer's version, ZMPLAYER.

But the issue I faced with zmplayer is the one with incoming call. I think due to the backlight override feature implemented, the highest display priority is for the zmplayer and hence when a call arrives, it does not go into the background. Othereise zmplayer is just great! Any fix has been done for this issue?
