lets put our comments over here the other topic is for the development of the rockbox..ill explain everthing here..

ive'd done a little bit research:

Why themes dont work?
there are two kinds of themes around rockbox site.unsupported build themes and normal themes.

What themes should i download?
you can download normal themes or build your own.

What is unsupported build?
unsupported build are those with albumArt,Scrolling margins etc.

Does our version support this builds?
Currently "no" lets wait for blackhawk's update.

What are the things working around our version?
you can try to download some plugins around rockbox site and put it to your mmc/rockbox/archos/rock

What are Plugins?
it sometimes contains

logo
games
tools

Can rockbox really play Doom?
i still haven't try it out,i might try it soon

Can we do patches?

ic.. that's why i can't use every theme i downloaded which is have album art. normal were fine so far.

still with my curiousity for the sound quality. this is a wonderfull player but still can't beat eXMMS sound with Tai Nghe equalizer in me. what about you guys? i don't believe if you guys don't have eXMMS on your phone

How can I install Rockbox..

I Installed 4.55 mb zip file then unzipped it.. A folder extracted .In that folder there are 2 .txt file and 1 mpkg and 2 other files and a folder.Now tell me wat to do with those files and folder.

extract the archive and you will get 'rockbox' folder. place it on your memory card root directory (not in the other directory) than tap on rockbox.mpkg in that rockbox directory on your phone.

1. extract the archive.then u will see rockbox folder.copy it to ur mmc/sd (dont put it in other folder and dont rename the rockbox folder!)

2.open the rockbox folder that u copy in ur mmc/sd,u will see rockbox.mpkg.install that rockbox.mpkg file.

3.after install that mpkg file,u can delete the file.also u can delete rockboxui.e680(it is for e680).other files,keep it remain in that folder.

4.go to menu,tap rockbox icon.enjoy..

an_anda@For the sound quality thats true exmms is far more better because that one had alot of updates...lets wait for blackhawk to his new updates on it.i know blackhawk is working on it now...and i know blackhawk also wanted to add some patches on it inlcuding the sound too..well good luck for blackhawk


for the rockbox forums@they kicked my post about our phone.and i think because my post looked like a spam "i think".but still unfair why they did not inform me =(

ok..here my equalizer setting.for me,it is far better than exmms..(it is extra bass setting..hehehe)

1.go to - settings
2.go to - sound settings
3.go to - equalizer
4.go to - browse EQ presets
5.choose Jazz presets by pressing "center" button then it will go back to previous menu.
6.go to - graphical EQ
7.u will see "Edit mode: Gain" word at the bottom.change the setting like this:-

-LS: 5.0db
-PK: 1.5db
-PK: -2.5db
-PK: 0.5 db
-HS: 6.0db

8.after finish setting,press "center" button and u will see "Edit mode: Cutoff Frequ" word at the bottom.Change the settings as follows:-

-LS: 180hz (u can add more for extra bass)
-PK: 200hz
-PK: 800hz
-PK: 4000hz
-HS: 12000hz

9.when finish the setting,press "real player" button and save that custom presets.

10.enjoy my setting.hehehehe

p/s: u can change the settings at ur own choice.if it good than me,plz share it here.
