Rockbox for E680i/A780

I have an a1200r...
I'd copy "extracted unzip_105.zip" in my mmc root! (I'd rename it to "unzip") and then I was copy "rockbox-a1200-20071125.zip" (unrared and reziped) in my mmc root!
then I run following commands using eKonsole :
# cd /mmc/mmca1
# ./unzip rockbox/qt-2.3.10-a1200.zip
Output-> ./unzip: permission denied

# cd /mmc/mmca1
# ./unzip rockbox-a1200-20071125.zip
Output-> ./unzip: permission denied

What can I do to Install RockBox?

Looks like your SD memory card is locked (read only). Can you check the same. There is a toggle switch on the left of an SD card. Pushing it up makes the card writeable and pushing it down makes it unwritable.

Your problem doesn't look rockbox related.
you have a problem with the permissions of unzip.
goto eKonsole and type in /mmc/mmca1/

ls -la

the output should look like:
-rwxrwxr-x 1 ezx ezx 8388 Jan 22 00:34 unzip

Since update version 20071125, Rockbox for EZX no need qt-2.3.10 anymore! Please download the latest version (20071215) and read my first post at page 1 carefully. About your unzip problem, you must add executable permission to it (changed by your operating system or your compression application):

cd /mmc/mmca1
chmod +x unzip

I have read the entire thread and want to be clear before I attempt placing Rockbox on my E6.

I am running Ahman's hybrid firmware.

1. Would someone please list all the programs/software I need to install Rockbox? Please include even the most basic programs needed for a noob like me. For example, do I need an mpkg program or linloader or ekonsole? i've never used any of them.

2. Are the instructions on the first page the only instructions I need. As an inexperienced modder who wants to minimize the risk of failure, are there instructions that include basic point by point directions like "turn on the phone," "attach usb cable," "click here," etc.?

3. Am I correct that the bug related to not getting calls while using Rockbox has been fixed?

4. Does Rockbox play video, and if so, which formats?

Thanks for the help and it's true, the Rokr E6 is a sweet phone primarily because of its expandability through the work of developers like Blackhawk, Ahman and Alpha43.

See this Rockbox thread in the A1200 forum. It has clear step-by-step instructions on how to install Rockbox. It should answer all of your other questions.

I installed rockbox (landscape version) on my system and I'm not sure whether it's working as it should, the display seems kind of lame to me, just blank gray.

The portrait version won't load, it says "Non standard MPKG form!" and stops.

3 questions, is the blank background in landscape mode normal, any suggestions on getting portrait mode to work and do I need landscape mode to play Doom?
