A780 AT+MODE Commands

Not sure what these do, but I found them while probing the Bluetooth Serial device on the A780...

Each of these shuts off the Bluetooth serial port afterwards. You can reconnect it.

at+mode=8 ... launch BP log&test command
at+mode=9 ... launch testagent
at+mode=10 ... launch ap logger
at+modde=11 ... launch Motcdc
at+mode=12 ... launch MotDSPLog

at+mode=24 ... don't know, but shuts off port like others
at+mode=99 ... don't know, but shuts off port like others

I had several new devices show up when I plugged in USB the next time:

the at+mode=99 mode i used on windows for telnet with baclerra driver in my e680 (i dont have an A780)

also i used once the at+mode=9 mode and it installed

and more on my windows computer on that time...

i didnt tested out the other ones...

where do you guys enter these commands ? there has to be some low level driver device to which we can enter these commands as well.. right ?

the commands can be entered using any terminal program (eg hyperterminal on windows); they are just part of an enhanced modem command set.

i tried hyperterminal after connecting the phone over usb cable. it says ur COM port is already in use. how did u get around it ?

which com port are you trying? The phone needs to be in modem mode, then use hyperterminal to connect to the Motorola modem,

its off the topic here/// but one more thing... did u guys get QT to work on the phone.. like completely be able to create graphics with QT tool chain etc ?

Opie and X/Qt are based on QT and these work, although to get things to work w/o loosing the native phone apps you need to use cyph's opieproxy and apply some patches to the qt code.
