    Default Concept Motorola

    Hi Guys!

I am new here and waould like to share some of my fanwork for Motorola. I am a huge fan of Motorola but I am very disappointed with Motorola's Range available for India. They are selling mostly outdated stuff (checkout www.hellomoto.com) and the collection is only limited in India (no Q, A1200, A1010, ROKR etc). Anyway as I said I am a huge fan of Motorola and here is one of my cellphone design concept for Motorola. Enjoy!

same or more bad in New Zealand.. just the normal motorola junk thingy phones are here -mostly with that shitty Vodafone firmware branded.. just a big ((

i not really like that PDA-ish phone on your pic it looks cheap and too M$-windows-ish. these stereo 4-way speakers will be nice in that phone but still not poissible to make like that. the number keypad has an unusual standard so its not good for use it like on a normal phone.
the internal screen with 320x240 res and a size of 2.2inch like a e680 would be enough for me, but it should have a jack foir connectin a real VGA CRT/TFT monitor and a bluetooth Keyboard/mouse and maybe also an internal slider querty-keyboard like some of the new PDA-smartphones do.
the most important thing is a good battery with 1500mA - 2000mA! not just a smal 500 - 800mA thingy.

also sould have 3Gwith a second cam, W-lan

thickness/slimness is for me NOT important, but it should have a nice design like a e680 or nokia N83 and should not look cheal like most of the M$-PDA's do.

Linux of course, symbian is also good.. Palm is ok(only with a 320x240res screen), NO M$ thingy

Thanks "y-cyas", I'll try to better it next time. However I feel that 4 keys in 1 row is more functional than the conventional 3 keys in 1 row. This type of setup alows for greater typing control without the need for a QWERTY keyboard. It also helps in keeping the keys reasonable in size unlike tiny QWERTY keys. And yes, the phone does look little cheap, but I am trying to address that issue too. And finally the speakers are just an idea because every phone that I've kept have had squeaky internal speakers and I want a phone which has great external speaker so me and my friends can enjoy video and sound together while travelling, picnics etc.

And do keep replying with your suggestions .

it seems that you designed that pda-phone -it looks good so far you are quite a good designer.. maybe try to make more a smal computer-phone than a PDA.

sadly is that many phones/pda are looking qute nice on the computer-generated pics, in real than more ugly than good..

minimal is a 4x3 number keypad like most of the phones has is better than a 3x4 number keypad, because its quite difficult to type with it. the functions keys can you design like you want.. thats ok..
maybe make a slieder computer-phone that the number keys are hidden anl looks more classy.

Minimal a 2Mp cam with good lens should it have.

phones with good internal (stereo-) speakers are the e680/i/g so far i know.
my nokia 7650 was worse with the internal mono speaker.

WOW these are cool ideas especially the Storage phone I really prefer big phones and the form factor of this is very much to my liking. It also has some designer touch to it. Thanks for these. I'll post some of my other ideas soon.

sorry when i just read your post now

the storage_phone looks very big but i think it will be "only" the size of an SE P910...

maybe design a phone that as a 16:9 touchscreen like a TV but just smaller
the e680/i/g design style with a 16:9 touchscreen also will be cool.

or a Nokia N95 like slider design...

    ---------------

    hehe....
