Default [Bounty For $100 dollars] Database-based music player

All our current audio players are playlist-based. I'm certain the world needs a database-based audio player for our phones, hey we're in the iPod Age and in the Era of Multi-Gigabytes SDs

To be short: I'm bountying USD 100 to the first who make a complete database-based audio player. It should play MP3 and OGG, with a definite plus if plays AAC and/or WMA. And the UI should be of the same style of the iPod player or the Sony Ericsson Walkman player (But if the programmer has a better idea, I'm open to it).

ASAP I'll send MotorolaFans.com admins the bounty money. I'll inform you.

First: Your device target? Because still hard for us write something for A1200.
Second: We can use my xmms port for player backend We can prepare a playlist for xmms from sqlite database for example.
Third: eXMMS concept satisfied me so far, have no time for a while.
Last: Really have USD 100 for this bounty?
Really last: Any plan make donation for eXMMS development

    Hi blackhawk and Alpha,

Device target? E680. Because I have one and a good database-based player will make it the best musicphone out there

About implementation details: if it speeds up, the best Even better that reusing xmms will make it easier to port all those stuff to other phones like A1200.
The only thing I strongly wish, but not as a showstopper, is that its UI should remember the SE Walkman one.

Yes, the money is here waiting for be in good use. And you gave me a good idea on helping eXMMS

Database oriented UI for xmms is a smart idea but still have no concept on my mind and have no experience on sql programming. J2ME UI posibility for xmms is more challenging for now. I have bemused server running on the phone, listen TCP connection on port 7654. Waiting for connection from j2me bemused client... I hope Ator and CLOVIS KKK can help me since I am not java coder

For developer who have a plan reusing xmms-embedded/winskin for this bounty, I am open to share my knowledge or code.

    eXMMS package contains 2 app:
    1. xmms-embedded, with some modification as player backend
    2. winskin, I have written from scratch (base on noatun winskin plugin) as player frontend

For database oriented player, may be we have to change winskin file browser to database browser.

    Now, I have a concept.
    1. This player using xmms-embedded as player backend.
    2. Using sqlite3 as database backend.
    3. Using ozxplayer multipages style. Artists page, albums page, songs page, database updater page, playlist page, and skinable UI page. The first three pages have filtering line edit and the playlist page have standard media player button on the top.
