I am going to make E680i/A780 become GPS receiver

Such as roadmap, gpsdrive, and qpegps.
The roadmap is almost done.
But it can only get map for US.
I think it's much easier for us to cross-compile the opensource GPS program.

the taiwan version of either e680i or a1200 had already a working GPS software supported bluetooth GPS, I forgot which one. But definately you can try to ask some chinese from taiwan.

Time ran so fast, almost 2 years since the day I started to work on this project.

Today, I am not only able to achieve my goal "make every phone become GPS receiver" (of course you need BT GPS if your phone did not have internal GPS)
but also exceed my initial goal. Now, I can make every phone able to do AutoRouting with GPS map.

You can take a look at Digital Mobile Map and give it a try.
