Android is NOT Cheap??

Well, Im just wondering one thing.
with google release ANDROID as open source, doesnt it mean we're not pay for the OS, unlike Nokia's symbian or WinMo. so why gadget with android OS in it is still have sky-high price???



so, what's your opinion??

Actually, its not the cost of hardware, its the cost of the brand.
60000 is around 1300 USD.

In here (indonesia) there's local brand that release Android phone with just around 200 USD but lack gps, qwerty keyboard, wifi.

yea, my laptop costs about 3300 USD at today's rates. Whats the cost of Windows Vista in it? $250-300? Alienware's brand name is there for all to see, plus the insane power.
Keep in mind that Android is relatively new; as more and more devices come out, manufacturers will cut down on price, or put better specs to justify the cost.

Since they built Android mainly on good phones, you don't have a choice. Maybe China will roll out a handphone with android for $50 xD
