iPhone 3GS Hardware Cost Breakdown
Androids are excellent but it a rip off..........
The 7p's is why they cost so much that goes to the iphone to....
Its not even the cost of the hardware nor the software. Its the marketting and the staff. You need to pay the staff to source for the hardware, you pay for the staff to get it designed, pay a few more to piece them together, and then some experts to get the O/S up and running on the few hardware pieced together. Okay, android's free lunch, so lets talk about marketting.
You pay for making it a hype, you pay for being proud being an owner of one, you feel proud when they have a big advertisement in the middle of Times Square, to tell people that you're having one of those. You paid for the advertising. If your're using the iPhone, you paid for their work making it a hyped up piece of mobile phone.
Imagine you only paid for the hardware. was it $179 for teh iphone 3gs? Okay, the staff's still going to receive his salary from steve, now steve jobs is going to retrench many people. and they will have some budget problem because they didin't earn money. so now since nobody's going to get paid, steve is going to disappear, and there is no competition in the market.
Android will probably feel that there's nothing too great being an Android anymore and since people involved are not getting paid to develop for android, they will need to work for some company which pays for their beer while developing.
I've been ranting a little too much.
Now, who's with me!

lol..steve disappears!!!
well ppl frget that any phone on contract is not a steal.. they are being charged seperately along the plan.. the costs are high .. but by keeping it low the carriers target a HUGER audience .. get it to the masses.. and then like the instalment schemes- make back money from monthly charges.. otherwise how do no contract pieces sell for 4 times than the contract ones... ITS PLAIN SIMPLE ... nthn is free.. n if its unbelieavably cheap then there is a " * " stating CONDITIONS APPLY to it
just like in commercial?!! heheif its unbelieavably cheap then there is a " * " stating CONDITIONS APPLY to it
recently I just delete all commercial texts that come to my number or block it
