I tried to speak globally about so much ezx stuff -as I only have a surface and new knowledge on- that there is nothing i can do to help more.
When I think about something, I edit some wiki, but as I'm newbie too, i don't contribute that much

Those installation should not be a 'very' hard task, as this is fully documented and open source stuffs unlike stock Moto's software: great coders are making great progress on hardware 'abstraction' making all the necessary to use some X server and a fancy open OS on top of that generic API shared between a lot of hardware platforms...

FSO take care of phones functionnalities like GSM, call modem, GPS, wifi, BT, take a look at freesmartphone.org this IS the wiki that will announce an FSO Snapshot for Ezx (when phone calls with audio will be stables), I hope very soon.

Sorry, this is off-topic , but for a guide on Android install, I believe you are on the good place, you didn't noticed the first post from AndroidEZX ?? As I said some few port to the latest kernel should "suffice" , I believe androidezx's guide is a good start!

Oh, another french Bienvenue! Tu en as de la chance d'etre en Grece.

Well you'll be one of the first if you have everything in SD card
Also, you'll need to see Dual boot - OpenEZX to use a second stage bootloader, genblob, for booting the required 2.6 kernel from SD that will be used for android.
This is actually the only thing you have to change in your phone: the kernel's CG is used to place genblob instead of the original kernel.. for using stock phone's functionnalities, you have to backup your old 2.4-montavista's kernel and place it on the SD, near to the openezx one .
You'll also need to port some android stuff to reflect the newest (OpenEzx) 2.6 kernel setup if you want to make calls .
Note that you'll have a pretty usable android ezx phone because the actual kernel never use power managment, so no suspend and battery drain very fast... ( 4 hours approx. on A910).
Using the androidezx's guide is a good way to do some tests. With its kernel if you want, then after, you will be able to understand how to modify his rootfs, and maybe make a better port.
But yes, you can !! Yes, you can! yes, you can! lol .

This reminds me of the Qtopia builds they run the battery hot an still have alot of bugs to work out. Until there is a stable 100% working version, ill stay with my normal firmware.

Hello, i want to flash my phone to Android but if anyne already install it on A1200 please tell me if what I see on T-Mobile G1 Emulator powered by Modea, there you can see an emulator of the G1 TMobile, would be on my phone after flashing:

    1) What applications are installed on V1 firmware. Is there Android Market, messaging, Gmail, voice dialer, music
    2) Can I make ordinary calls, can I receive messages.

Please can anybody tell me if updates are available from Google Like T Mobie G1, or If a new SDk2 like the new 1.0 release 2 are available, Do I have to reflash my phone ? Or updating software is available for upgrading my phone?

    Thanks
