Does it matter what mach id I use for gen_blob?
    YEAH, I have got it!!

busybox init doesn't seem to run rcS unless I remove the "si" from the first line of the inittab. I guess it was trying to run rcS it on a nonexistent terminal?

I added /init to the end of /etc/init.d/rcS and modified the shebang line of /etc/init.d/rcS to use /bin/ash (I don't know if this matters, but busybox seems to be built without support for /bin/sh). I also uncommented the /system/bin/runtime lines from /etc/init.rc

The phone repeatedly prints a bunch of messages like "android_adb_open" (kernel debugging output?) then after about a minute I get the red cylon eye.

So it's starting up now and should be up momentarily.

First time I booted the touchscreen didn't work (originally I had not applied the touchscreen patch -- I wanted to the minimal number of changes to the kernel to make it boot).

I applied the touchscreen patch and it still seemed to not work, except now the gui restarts periodically and goes back to the red cylon eye.

The patch didn't apply cleanly to the 2.6.26 kernel, so maybe I made a mistake or maybe there's something else wrong.

Hard to debug when telnetd still isn't running.

I think see now why the server side usb0 interface was not being created. I needed the cdc_subset module to be loaded (this module is not needed with the original firmware).

    To Cout:
I just do as your describe. But i can't get the red eye and there is nothing dispaly on my A1200's LCD but white background.
If i need do some modify when i build Kernel and module?if yes, Please tell me the step because I am blank for BusyBox.
I am using androidezx' ROOTNFS , module and kernel which you can see the first page of this post.

If your touch screen does not work, you should check whether touch screen driver is assigned
to event1 via ‘cat /proc/bus/input/devices’ which Android application use /dev/input/event1 to
    get touch driver info.
