I've got android running on the HTC TyTn2 although the touchscreen nor keypad is usable at the moment.

No but some chap has figured out how to get key presses, will work on it and post updates. From the boot screen you can see that the OS does'nt even read battery status properly, more like a demo

If we can boot a linux file system then it as we can do now, then it should be possible to boot OpenMoko as well? or Opie?

aksd: Yes, it should be possible. (At least I start Opie or Openmoko with GNU Haret as well on my HTC Universal.) But I can´t tell you how to do that, you´ll need some rootfs..

The TyTN II runs on a hardware similar to the HTC Touch Dual; a 400Mhz Qualcomm processor with 128MB of RAM. TyTN II runs Windows Mobile 6 and has HSDPA and Wi-Fi for data transfers. It also supports all mobile network frequencies, all popular e-mail protocols, as well as AD2P stereo Bluetooth It also has a built-in 3-megapixel camera.
