Hi vkin,

have a look at .system/java/CardRegistry on your memory card using a text editor.

You´ll see entries that look like this:

[1234abd2-2def-3456-a7bc-d8ef1g90hi12]
AniIcon =
AppID = {1234abd2-2def-3456-a7bc-d8ef1g90hi12}

Justadd a line to each of them:IMEI = (enter your IMEI-number here, if you don´t know it type *#06# in your phone)

After that your apps should appear in main menu after restarting the phone.

I think that telneting the phone on R58 in USB Net mode should work, as it has a telnet and samba daemon installed... Just connect the phone, use the Belcarra USB net driver (if you are on Windows) and telnet the phone...

what i did understand with ur query

Ur problem could occur when:
1. u try to install application on ur phone, and by chance u may not hv received installation complete message.
2. u tried to edit cardregistry file and some invalid character might hv gone in and got saved with invalid file format

u may recover the applications by renaming the Cardregistry.bak file to card registry

So you are on R57? Could you tell me how you did that, please?

Regarding your problem: Well, (while connected, I think) open the root terminal on the phone, run ./start and then ./acmattach.lin - after that you could start InetD. Now you should be able to telnet the phone.
