I have the same problem... P2kCommander doesn't seem to work even if it says that theme has been installed. I read somewhere in the net about a program called Eakrin’s Skin Installer... Does anyone knows anything about? Thanks all
Hi, I have been 'playing' with an A910, via telnet and samba, but i cannot find anywhere where new themes might go. Any ideas anyone ?
thanks.

Hi ^]BatmaN[^, you'll find that P2K programs don't take well to any of the Motorola Linux phones. The only way to mod these phones is to approach them as a linux OS. If you can access them via telnet/samba and look through their file structure you'll see what I mean.
Hi spock,i'm not so expert to know how to do what you say... What about you,can you do this? If yes,could you explain me? Thanks
ok, i tried to do something simple today like changing the powerup/powerdown screens.
In ezx_user\download\appwrite\setup there is a file called themefiles.cfg. If you download this and look at it via notepad (or cat it for our linux friends) you'll see that it contains the configuration of theme makeup, see below:
[/usr/data_resource/picture/ss_energy_240x320.gif]
Moto(Modified) = 0
[/usr/data_resource/picture/wp_enriched_240x320.jpg]
Moto = 0
[/usr/data_resource/poweroff/splash_powerdown_ani_full.gif]
Moto = 0
Moto(Modified) = 1
[/usr/data_resource/poweron/splash_powerup_ani_full.gif]
Moto = 0
Moto(Modified) = 1
[/usr/data_resource/ringtone/rt_alert_1.mid]
Moto = 0
Moto(Modified) = 1
Now, the powerup/powerdown gifs are in:
usr/data_resource/powerup and usr/data_resource/powerdown respectively.
So I thought all i needed to do was either to place another gif in this directories and then select it via the Theme--edit or just overwrite the existing ones with different ones of the same names.
I could do neither because I came across permission problems.
I tried to chmod the directory and also the file but an ls -l already shows it as wrx but i still couldn't write anything into it.
This would have been a 10second (literally) job on a P2K phone, but not with JUIX..so anyone know how to get around this permissions problem ?
