As for the mtf file, i really did not know what to do with it, so i just let it be.

It's just a renamed tar.gz, and it contains the program which displays nice dialogues (ezxdialog). Directory structure in this archive tells exactly where the contained file should land

I have accidently installed two copies, i can see two icons in my menu, hehe. How can i manually remove one copy? Any help would be appreciated!

Press some seconds the unwanted icon.
A menu with an uninstall option should come up

I did that, now both the icons show Exclamation mark. By removing one, did it remove both?

depends on the application.
have a look in /.system/QtDownload
the application should be located there.
also look at your PlugCardDB, there is the menu entry for this application.

Thanks, removed the menu entry and did a fresh install. I think i am getting a hang of it.
