Newbie A780 Edge Version HELP!

Hi guys & gals Got this phone couple days ago. Problem can't figure out, need help.
#1) IM programs. From other forums everyone can get their IM program (MSN/Yahoo etc) working on this one. Mine bought from HK (Silver Edge version). Does not have an IM program installed. (At least I didn't find the icon). However, on the setup page, there is an "IM" setting, however it is grey out. Need to get help on how to get this thing working.
#2) Using US T-Mobile T-Zone internet profile, using OTA from T-Mobile website to get settings, It can browse the net. However, every two pages down and I can't connect for nothing. So far I think all my setting is correct. Know that because I can use the included Email program receive and send my yahoo and gmail emails.
#3) Mass storage device. I can't get anything hooked up when using BT. IF I use the cable, then the computer can recognise the USB device. Why is that?
#4) Real player: I transferred a .RM video clip on the Transflash. However it doesn't play. Is there a specific format that I'll need to convert?

Sorry for all the mudane questions, anyone that might assist me would be grealty appreciated.

3. use USB.. BT will not work by me too.. may the computers BT driver too old...

4. use by .rm max. 320x240res 15FPS, 350Kbit(CBR or VBR) (96Kbit stereo sound).
