    Default password protect Tflash

    hi,
i password protected my tflash and i cant access the card now. I am not sure if i forgot the password or the problem is with the card.

The card is not detected when i plug in the USB (phone memory is detected) both in linux and windows.
i tried the card on my e398 and it wont detect it in there also.
    any ideas?
the format option is also disabled, because of the password protect (sigh!)

    Hi...

Nothing much to worry.. As far as I rememeber, a text file wil be created on the TF card.

The name will be someting like .password or whatever ..But starts with a dot. .
Put the TF card in a SD card reader or connect the phone to Linux Box. and then open the file in any Text editor to get back the pasword. The file may be hidden in Windows. In linux, u have to mount and see the file using command: ls -l .*

I will search for this info and get back to you with exact steps. Meanwhile.. try to figure out something from above.

Thanks Ravindran. I also thought it would be in some file, but the problem is the card does not detect in windows or linux. .
dmesg shows no indication that a card was inserted.
funny huh? i think the card is broken, funny it asks for password on a780.

@metaphor, did you try to format this card on your PC using card reader/adapter? If it doesn't help then I don't think you can do anything else. Maybe a low level format, but I'm not sure what to do it with.

cant format it on the pc because the card is not detected at all. my card reader has a led indicator which glows when the card is inserted. it works for the two other cards i have but for this card it wont.
i would just assume the card is bad, but why does only a780 ( not e398 not zaurus) popup a password prompt when i try to access the card.

Oh and hey swifty and metaphor, cut it out man. peace.
