Is there a difference in loading a european firmware on a asian phone?? Wat difference does it make? plz help

The difference is that you may get flash error becasue of different DSP 's. Asian version doesn't have GPS like European. It's better to use Asian flash for Asian phone unless you want to get into troubles.

is there a firmware with no GPS, had EDGE, has Wireless Village enabled (IM), and has Browser instead of Monternet? Most of the firmwares I've downloaded are chinabranded, although one was actually european. I really need the firmware, I'm getting tired of flashing the phone with different china mobile firmwares and with incompatible european firmware.

@GreenHorn, where have you seen an A780 with telnet option in System Setup? I guess A1200 has it but I'm not sure.

You should change bit #68 to 1, to activate telnet.
