Exclamation [Solved] Unable to reinstall linloader after changing uSD

    Hi Forum,

A while ago I was able to use linloader, but since then the uSD has seen quite a few devices complete with different partition structures and other filesystems than FAT.

So now that I put it back in the A780, the phone asked me to format it back to FAT. I allowed that and the FS seems ok. Of course, it is relatively empty.

I thought to reinstall linloader by sticking Troodons's example PlugCardDB-entry into the my virgin PCDB. The "loader" directory resides in the phone-flash, so I thought not to need copying those files again.

It does not work though. I can use linloader via right-click/open with, but nothing useful happens. Linloader shows in the list of applications with a "new" icon, a yellow circle with a large exclamation mark in it (a bit like the icon I used for the post, but round instead of triangular... like actually but then with a much fatter !). The right icon is available though.

I also copied the contents of the loader directory to root, and the complete loader directory to the uSD, in case it was looking in the wrong location. No luck.

Anywhere else to look? I tried to find any relevant entries in the .system directory in the phone-flash, but didn't see anything.

    Default Solved :-)

    Thanks!

Reading is an achievement and needs constant practise... I have read Troodon's instructions over and over again, failing to notice where to put the files (I already got them on the phone after all, and "open with" did show something)
Upon seeing the identical text differently formatted on the wiki, I recognized my mistake finally. It works now

PS: does the forum offer to change the title to reflect the issue is solved? It probably comes to reading as well, but that seems not to be my strongest point

    ...wait.. perhaps "Go advanced":..
    Edit: that was it
