how about A910?
HI all,
My aging 780 has suffered another hardware problem and no longer charges batteries through the USB port. I have to use a desktop charger. So, I'm starting to look at getting a replacement phone. I love my A780, so I'd like to find something like it, but I'd like to add some of the features missing from the A780 as well.
Specifically, I'd like to add speaker independant voicedial over bluetooth, GPS and WiFi connectivity.
Can anyone suggest a good phone to replace my A780 with? I like the clamshell design and the external keypad.
Thanks,
Statik
how about A910?
I am cute, amn't I?
No GPS, No keyboard for term use, etc.
The MINGs look closer to what I want, but no wifi, nor GPS.
yeah, You are so right!
Me too! Motorola should go on!
Motorola, You should read this!
ME TOO - Why can't nobody of Motorola realize, what an extraordinary hardware concept it is, a concept with great practical suitability.
Don't muddle "concept" with "design", the design of A780 isn't really top of the pops, sorry to say, but Moto, with A1200 you proved, You can!
So, please Motorola, bring the hardware-concept of A780 back on the track!
Would be great, I still can't find an alternative.
Thank You!
I emailed Motorola with my 'suggestions'. Haven't seen a response yet.

Here's the message I sent:
And here's the response:I currently own an A780, one of the best little phones I've ever had. I am wondering if you have considered creating an updated version of this phone? If so, some additions/updates I'd like to see are:
faster processor
speaker independant voicedial over bluetooth
GPS
WiFi connectivity
Improved Linux syncronization tools
I'd love to keep the other features that this phone already has. I love how extendable the phone is. The clam-shell design with the external keypad is the most useful layout I've seen for business/adult use.
Thanks for your consideration.
No joy there. Thanks for reaching out to Motorola. I’ve reviewed your e-mail and I’m ready to help.

Isn't that adult?
I find too many phones are marketed to teens and tweens these days. I see businesspeople with lime green, graphic coated monstrosities that are great for texting and playing music, but can't open a pdf to save themselves.
A sleek business phone with what amounts to a double-form factor is missing.
Seriously tho, I didn't mean to offend.

I don't think I am an adult already, hehe--since most of Asian think "turning to adult" is at 20.
I am cute, amn't I?
I don't think Moto will make another Linux OS phone. They keep focusing on Android OS. External keypad will make the phone looking bulky. How about design of Milestone?
