Has anyone figured out how to update the BP to 74 from 41 or 42 or is 74 still secure?

yes, bought it on ebay, shipped from uk, no branding, apart from inacurate battery status it works like a charm

oh you have powerbook instead of PC so I have no idea how to deal with that monster.

if you can make your tool as a clickable *.jar that works on a A780
without Linloader and telnet we can help lornawal to read the firmware.
the filetransfer between a powerbook and the A780 is not a problem.

I have packaged evaldas motodump-script to an mpkg-package.

Usage:
1. Use File-Explorer and klick on motodump.mpkg package.
2. Install it to T-Flash, so you can remove it completly afterwards.
3. Start program 'DumpFW'.
4. After the first dialog - press 'start'
5. Wait SEVERAL MINUTES!! (During the dump-process, you have no
feedback! Not the best approach, I know)
6. After the 'Finished'-Dialog, the files should be in T-Flash root dir.

I've tried this with german A780/1025 firmware with success and no
damage to phone.

Hope someone could provide the resulting 2 files here and hope-
fully evaldas could explain how to flash these files afterwards.

Haven't found anyone with the R52_G_0D.76 firmware to dump this for us.

A really nice guy in the german A780 Forum used the evaldas tool and dumped the new firmware.
