You don't need to flash your phone to enable MPKG installer. You just need to modify the flex bit table. Look for a topic on that and on flashkit. I can post my ezx_flexbit.cfg file and a complete crmfs file you can use with flashkit.

But in the past day i've found a few other problems with my phone.
I can't install programs to my flashcard only to my phone.
and some programs installed on my phone don't work they just crash back to the main screen.

So are these problems that would be solved by flashing the phone. Keep in mind i'm just makeing educated guesses based on what i've read in these forums and my own limited understanding of the phone, i've only had it for 3 days though so it is limited.

Why does this firmware always fail at 94% with PST ?

This is a fw for European version of A780 with GPS. You must have an Asian version without GPS. The flashing breaks due to hardware differences.

Thank you for the reply. I do have an asian version with no GPS however I think it is from Hong Kong but the only fw I can get to install fully is the china mobile branded stuff. I really can't stand the branding and the "monteret" browser. BUT I can't seem to find the original fw for it. I tried all the fw on the vietnamese site but only branded fw will install. I just would like to put the un-branded non gps fw that was on it before.

I am kind of confused as to why no one seems to have a non-branded non gps firmware. I have had NO REPLIES. The only firmware I can get to run is the China Mobile branded. Does anyone have or know where I can get an Un-branded firmware that will install all the way ????? PLEASE I want to use this phone again. I even tried openmoko but It doesn't connect to AT&T wireless.
